Meet Diana Korir, Adrienne J Media’s 2016 PR and Digital Media Intern. Diana is a ray of sunshine and we couldn’t be happier for her to join the AJM team! Connecting with Diana, we found out a little more about her.
What is your name?
Where are you from?
I’m a world traveler. I’ve lived in Nairobi, Kenya; San Diego, California; Asheville, North Carolina; Washington, Virginia and finally settled in Atlanta, Georgia.
What is your area of study?
I’m majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.
I love organizing things & I love helping people
What is your favorite song?
What is your favorite color?
I switch a lot between orange and brown depending on my mood.
Which would you rather, Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts?
Actually neither. I love donuts from a local place called Tip Top Donuts on
Cobb Parkway in Marietta. They have two of the best donuts ever made –
sugar raised donuts and bacon donuts.
What is one fun fact about Diana?
I speak 3 ¼ languages. English, Swahili, Kalenjin and très peu de Français
(very little French).
Why do you love Public Relations?
It suits my personality. I’m outgoing, I love organizing things, I love helping people and more than that, helping them put into words the message they are trying to pass on to others. I get a sense of immense satisfaction from beginning a project from a blank slate and seeing it come to life and completing it having given my very best to it.
I hope to learn a lot about Digital and Social Media management. I would like to attain an in-depth knowledge on Digital Project Management, Social Media management and how to provide S.M.A.R.T Digital solutions to client opportunities. Almost everything in the world today is going digital and anyone who takes on a rigorous competitive process to be selected into the exclusive Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI), that is who I want to learn from. I believe Adrienne J Media is one of the best in the industry and it will be an invaluable resource for me to learn one on one from this experience. Not to mention the networking opportunities that are available make it even more of an extraordinary find.
